When a Pharaoh Dies
When a pharaoh died, his body went into the process of mummification. In this process the organs are removed from the body and kept in jars, although they leave the heart inside the body.
Steps to Mummification
1: You take the brain out from the nostrils using a hook.
2: Make a cut near the tummy
3: Remove all the organs
4: Let the organs dry
5: Place organs in jars
6: Leave the heart in the body
7: Clean the body with wine
8: Cover the body with salt for 70 days
9: After 40 days put the body in sand to give a human shape.
10: After 70 days wrap the body from head to toe
11: Place in a coffin.
Where they were buried
The pharaohs were buried in the pyramids. The pharaohs was buried with a slave and his queen. He was also buried with food and water as well as all his personal belongings. They were also buried with furniture.
